Voluntary self-commitment

  • Currently the main standards used by the members of the fashionGroup RFID are the standards of EPCglobal, a worldwide organization developing standards around the use of RFID.
  • In case a fashion Group RFID member uses in future RFID rollouts the so called Electronic Product Code (EPC), the EPCglobal-Logo will be printed on all RFID tags of this company. This logo informs the consumer, that the producer of the goods is an EPCglobal member and subject to their RFID rules and regulations concerning the use of RFID.
  • All users of the EPC-Logo are using such an EPC code for product serialization, which means that they merely store a standardized number code on the RFID transponder.
